This is a full-time position with benefits.
Responsibilities of Billing and Insurance Coordinator
Studies the insurance plans that are used most frequently with patients to understand the various nuances of each plan in order to communicate more effectively.
Educates patients, as necessary, regarding insurance, their responsibility and basic terminology.
Processes and submits insurance claims daily for all locations.
Monitors and follows-up on outstanding claims.
Provides insurance predetermination documentation to patients if required, contacts the patient to make financial arrangements, and schedules treatment.
Corresponds with insurance companies to resolve payment delays, requests for additional information, or to discuss treatment that has been denied coverage.
Handles all inquiries concerning insurance on a daily basis.
Follows up on Insurance Aging Report and submits claims again, when necessary.
Runs Aging Report and contacts patients for prompt payment on past due accounts.
Monitors Credit Balance report, and produces a list of refunds owed to patients to Business Manager monthly.
Prepares EOD reports and deposits daily
Requirements of Billing and Insurance Coordinator
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the dental profession and/or insurance billing experience
Sustained positivity and energy throughout the day
Communicates clearly with patients and all team members

Compensation and Benefits
Wage: $22-27 per hour DOE
Bonuses based on performance
90-Day Review and wage assessment, with potential of increase
36-40 hour work week
Health Insurance Benefit at 30 days, all other benefits eligible after 90-day probation
40 hours Vacation (Accrued Annually) doubles at year 3 of service.
50 hours sick pay per year.
5 paid holidays.
