Job Description

As an Interim Carbon Portfolio Analyst , you will be a key player in shaping our client's climate strategy. You will be responsible for analyzing carbon markets, evaluating carbon removal technologies and supporting the development and management of a robust carbon portfolio.

Interim Carbon Portfolio Analyst Responsibilities:

• Monitor carbon market trends, including pricing, regulations and emerging technologies.
• Assist in the development and management of a diverse carbon portfolio, focusing on carbon removal solutions
• Conduct thorough due diligence on carbon projects and suppliers, assessing their environmental impact and financial viability
• Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with carbon investments, such as price volatility and regulatory changes
• Utilize data analytics tools to track portfolio performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, market trends and regulatory developments
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, project developers and policymakers

Interim Carbon Portfolio Analyst Requirements:

• Strong understanding of voluntary carbon markets
• Experience in climate finance, carbon markets, or sustainability consulting
• Knowledge of carbon accounting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol) and carbon removal technologies (e.g., direct air capture, afforestation)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
