Job Description

Willis Custom Yachts is the premier custom sportfish builder and full-service yacht repair facility in the United States. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily work orders.
  • Collaborate on the development of new departmental procedures.
  • Supervise the installation of equipment or machinery.
  • Hire and train staff.
  • Generate budgetary estimates and project progress reports for the upkeep of company equipment and property.
  • Regularly complete safety and environmental inspections and facility audits.
  • Ensure the establishment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Manage all projects and evaluate them regularly.
  • Survey buildings and equipment to ensure they maintain proper health and safety standards.
  • Conduct repairs on the company or building's equipment such as heating and cooling systems, plumbing systems, or electrical systems.
  • Perform general aesthetic upkeep which can include painting, basic carpentry, or landscaping.
  • Handle pest control issues by spraying insecticide or calling and coordinating with the appropriate professionals.
  • Ensure alarm systems are functioning properly and responding when there are issues.
  • Maintain and carry out a calendar of monthly and annual equipment checkups or repairs.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills needed for critical decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to handle the day-to-day demands of the job.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, when interacting with all staff and team members. This includes issue identification, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and instruction delivery.
  • Ability to problem solve and brainstorm creative solutions.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner and prioritize work.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Ability to organize calendars and appointments related to regularly required maintenance.
  • Ability to multitask, delegate, and manage multiple projects in various locations.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs and should be in overall good physical health.
  • Deep technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety guidelines, and environmental laws is preferred.
