About the Firm: Our well-established firm in Dayton, OH is seeking a motivated Transactional Attorney to join our team. We are open to October 2024 graduates as well as attorneys with up to 5 years of experience. Our practice areas include Corporate Business Law (Transactional), Estate/Probate/Trust, Labor & Employment, Business/Tax/Real Estate, Litigation, and Workers' Compensation.
Position Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney to gain hands-on experience and grow their legal career in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in one or more of the following areas: Corporate Business Law (Transactional), Estate/Probate/Trust, Labor & Employment, Business/Tax/Real Estate, Litigation, and Workers' Compensation. Attorneys with litigation experience, a book of business, or 1st or 2nd chair experience are encouraged to apply, though these are not required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle a range of transactional and/or litigation cases depending on expertise.
* Manage multiple cases, adhering to deadlines and firm protocols.
* Conduct legal research, draft documents, and provide guidance on complex legal issues.
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide high-quality service.
Requirements:
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
* 0-5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Corporate Business Law (Transactional), Estate/Probate/Trust, Labor & Employment, Business/Tax/Real Estate, Litigation, and Workers' Compensation.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, research, and writing skills.
* Ability to handle high-stress situations and meet tight deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Roughly 1750 annual billable hours.
Bonus Qualifications:
* Book of business (not required due to a heavy existing caseload).
* Litigation experience, including 1st or 2nd chair experience.
Compensation: Compensation is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
